Our Story

Our story begins with Judy Allington, a compassionate and wonderful soul who knew that she wanted to establish a place that would provide its residents with quality senior care in Omaha. She created An Angel's Touch Omaha in 1998 after experiencing her own family's personal struggle with Alzheimer's. She learned firsthand how difficult it can be for a family to overcome the hardships that accompany such an illness.

Judy's mother, Dee, was a wonderful and vivacious woman who slowly began to change with the onset of Alzheimer's. This change eventually began to affect the life of everyone who was close to her, and she became less and less independent every day. Struggling to care for her, Dee's family considered assisted living options, which inspired Judy to set out on her quest for better care services.

After Judy's experience, she was determined to help others, and she set out to establish an incredible assisted living community for everyone to enjoy. She opened her second location one year later in 1999. Judy surrounded herself with people that shared her passion for dementia related illnesses, and looked to the same type of people for the staffing of An Angel's Touch!

Sadly, Judy lost a long, hard-fought battle with complications from breast cancer in 2007, one month shy of her 51st birthday. But, although Judy is gone, the imprint she left here that embodies An Angel's Touch and the mission to continue to provide such a wonderful residential option for our residents, is alive and strong!

Today

My name Is Nicole Burks, I have been with An Angels Touch for the past 20 years. I truly have a passion for nurturing and embracing the lives of aging adults. My passion spills over into the love I have for my family and the commitment to my personal health journey.

I want to continue Judy's legacy that she started. I have the same compassion as Judy once did. In her determination to help other families go through the same process of life. She created An Angels Touch Inc and provided an environment with the same care and activities you would provide your special loved one.
